Despite facing resistance from wiper supporters and cord co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka, Dr Mutua promises his maendeleo chap chap campaign will go on.
Mutua says he was not in any way attemptiing to out-muscle the akamba political kingpin from kalonzo musyoka,and was only trying to introduce a fresh style of politics basing it on developing the ukambani region.
mutua shed tears over what he called retrogressive politics in ukambani.
the machakos governor accompanied by five ukambani lawmakers held a consultative session with delegates from kitui county at Machakos peoples' park.
the maendeleo chapchap slogan and its activities have been seen as mutuas attempt to snatch ukambani political trophy from musyoka ahead of 2017 polls.
he claims the initiatives had unsettled musyoka amd his allies, and were now tryng to scuttle it through propaganda
"there are some top kamba leaders who have been holding meetings day and night strategising on how to kill this movement of maendeleo chap chap.these kleaders are working to spread propaganda to stop this movement.As they are holding there meetings we are also holding ours on how to achieve this development agenda," Mutua said.
Mutua and 8 mps present questioned Musyoka's development credentials and benefits his long stint in Government has brought to the region
"it is time for development in ukambani region and the journey to Canaan has has already began and those trying to stop us will be dealt with just the way the red sea dealt with pharaoh and his men who tried to stop the Israelites. i want to tell them that God's plans cannot be stopped by human beings,"said Mutau.
